A structured process,
tailored to your business.

Every business is different. There is a clear process for understanding what is happening and deciding what needs attention, but the focus and shape of the work are determined by what your business needs to achieve.

I take the time to understand what is really going on before recommending what happens next.

The process is structured. The solution is tailored.

How Working Together Progresses

We’ll find the gap, agree what needs attention and work through it together.

It starts with a conversation.
The first step is a complimentary 30-minute conversation about what has prompted you to get in touch and whether there may be a useful fit. If we agree it is worth exploring further, the work progresses through four stages.

01. Analysis of Your Needs

Bring the right people together to understand the situation more fully and determine what needs to be explored.

Complimentary

02. Discovery

Build an evidence-based picture of what is really happening, where the gap is forming and what needs attention.

03. Findings &
Way Forward

Make sense of what has emerged, agree what needs attention and determine the appropriate way forward

04. Tailored Engagement

Work together on what the business needs, with review, learning and adaptation built in as the work progresses.

Every stage has a clear purpose, and nothing moves forward without your agreement.

Scope and duration are shaped by what your business needs.

Some engagements are focused and contained. Others continue over time where the need is broader or more interconnected.

At times, it is useful for me to work more closely with the business at key stages, providing onsite or embedded guidance, reviewing progress, strengthening capability and maintaining momentum as the work moves forward.

Focused work

A defined piece of work around a specific need or outcome, for example, a strategic question, Board or executive alignment, an important decision, or strengthening a particular area of the business. The work is contained around a clear purpose and can provide a practical starting point for understanding what, if anything, needs to happen next.

Sustained work

Where the need is broader or more interconnected, the work may continue across a number of months - strengthening the connections between strategic direction, deliverables, systems, leaders and team ownership as changes are implemented and embedded.

What you can expect from me

I’ll help you find what’s hard to see from inside the business.

Whatever the shape or duration of the engagement, the way I work remains consistent. I bring structure and clarity while staying close to what is actually happening in the business.

In practice, that means I will:

  • Listen with curiosity and look beyond the presenting issue to understand what is really going on.

  • Ask the questions that need to be asked, challenge thinking when it is useful and create the conditions for honest, productive conversations.

  • Bring structure and clarity to complex issues, choices and decisions.

  • Shape the work around what the situation requires while building capability and ownership within the business.

  • Pause regularly to review what is happening, learn from it and adapt the work where needed.
